Vision

Flash Crosswords is a full-screen flash brainteaser game with themed crosswords. Designed for social networks - Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki.

The player's task is to solve thematic crosswords in different categories:
•‎ cars;
•‎ food;
•‎ music;
•‎ money;
•‎ movies;
•‎ animals;
•‎ fairy tales;
•‎ geography;
•‎ celebrities;
•‎ astronomy;
•‎ architecture and design.

The player is awarded stars for solving the crossword puzzle. A new category opens after using a booster or getting the required number of stars.

Each word is accompanied by a picture. The game is monetized through the purchase of internal game currency to use boosters.

Development

Development from idea to release took 90 days.

During this time we are:
•‎ Developed a CMS.
•‎ Prepared voice acting.
•‎ Redesigned the game.
•‎ Made a settings menu.
•‎ Monetized the game by buying local currency.
•‎ Used in-social advertising to promote the game.
•‎ Integrated to Vkontakte API and Odnoklassniki API.
•‎ Implemented 12 game categories with 50 crosswords in each.
•‎ Implemented a social panel with friends and their rating and status.
•‎ Implemented control using the on-screen and physical keyboard.
•‎ Implemented sending invitations to friends: for each attracted friend player is got coins.
•‎ Prepared a game for changing art during the holiday sales: Halloween, New Year, Christmas.

•‎ open vowels - for long words;
•‎ open random letter - for short words.
Bonuses
Bonuses are available to players for:
•‎ inviting friends;
•‎ detection of errors in the game;
•‎ daily bonuses for entering the game.
Friend's help
Publishing a post on the wall with the current question from the crossword puzzle.
In-game currency
The internal currency of the game is used to buy boosters.
