Vision

GRADIENTS is a coloring puzzle flash game for social media platforms VKontakte and Odnoklassniki. The main character is Mr. Brush, who paints the fence like Tom Sawyer.

The essence of the game is solving a logic puzzle and putting together a gradient out of many monochromatic lines of certain shades. On the playing field, there are circles different in color. The player is supposed to put them in a certain sequence.

The player can set the cell type as:
• blocking;
• regular color.

The player removes the cells that interfere with the move. Each move should be carefully thought out: the time is noted, and if the player loses, he starts the level again.

For passing the level, the player is awarded points and stars. The maximum number of stars for 1 completed level is 3.

Development

It took a total of 90 days to develop.

Over this time we
• Developed a CMS.
• Made voice-over.
• Developed a level editor.
• Introduced a system of daily bonuses.
• Designed the cursor to look like a brush.
• Enabled generating profit from selling in-game currency.
• Implemented control using the on-screen and physical keyboard.
• Integrated API for social media platforms Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki.
• Created a social panel featuring the ratings and statuses of online/offline friends.
• Implemented sending invitations to friends via the social panel. The player receives coins for every friend he invites.
• Prepared artwork for changing the look of the game during holiday season sales around Halloween, New Year’s, and Christmas.
