Vision

Flash Gradient is a coloring puzzle flash game for social networks Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki. The main character in this game is Mr. Brush who paints the fence like Tom Sawyer.

The essence of the game: to solve a logical puzzle in which a gradient is made from numerous conventionally monochromatic lines of given shades. On the playing field circles are visible which differ from each other in colors. The player makes a certain sequence.

The player can set the cell type:
• the blocking cell;
• the usual color.

The player can remove cells that interfere with making a move. Each move should be carefully thought out. The game is against the clock and the player starts the level again if he loses.

For each level the player receives points and stars. The maximum number of stars for completed level is 3.

Development

Development "from idea to release" took 90 days.

During this time we:
• Developed a CMS.
• Developed a level editor.
• Draw the cursor as a brush.
• Prepared audio special effects.
• Monetized the game by buying local currency.
• Integrated the Vkontakte API and the Odnoklassniki API.
• Implemented control using the on-screen and physical keyboard.
• Introduced a system of rewards for players in the form of daily bonuses.
• Implemented a social panel with the rating and status of online / offline friends.
• Implemented sending invitations to friends through the social panel. For each invited friend the player receives coins.
• Prepared a game for changing art during the holiday sales: Halloween, New Year, Christmas.
