Modify software for a Bluetooth device for tracking and recording movements: 1. Prepare the product for release. 2. Introduce 3D rendering of the hand. 3. Implement support for multiple profiles. 4. Add collecting statistical data, based on which recommendations on improving the quality of shooting are further provided.
About the product
KINETIC is Bluetooth-based personal training equipment for shooters. The equipment tracks hand movements to improve the shooting technique. 4 portable sensors record every movement at the frequency of 100 times per second. The software development company TRACE turned to Olympic and world champions for expert recommendations.
Photos of the equipment
TRACE released an alpha version of the product in 2017. It took another 90 days to finalize the software for KINETIC.
Over this time, our engineers: • Prepared the product for release. • Implemented storing sensor statistics to monitor changes over time. • Added multiple profile support on one PC featuring statistics for each user. • Made a 3D rendering of a hand to reproduce movements with a 3D image of the shooter's hand.
Each movement is recorded in real-time, statistics are displayed in the user profile.
3D rendering of sensors
The software supports profiles of several users.
The software displays the position of the hand in real-time.
How it works
1. We introduced a 3D rendering of the hand. 2. We implemented multiplayer mode. 3. We programmed the sensors to collect the following statistics: • speed; • position; • acceleration; • stability rating.
