PRIPYAT is a casual strategy game with indirect character control, base arrangement and exploration of the game world. The visual style is based on comics.
The player character and NPC are custom heroes with a set of equipment slots.
The basic idea of the game: the player and other characters go to locations for research, fight opponents and look for artifacts, then return to the base. The player equips the area in special locations - in the deep of the Exclusion Zone.
Planned the release on iOS and Android. Target audience - men 25+.
Characters and enemy
Development from idea to release took 180 days. In 2018 we discussed with GSC Game World the creation of a post-apocalyptic mobile game.
To start cooperation we are: • Analyzed the market. • Prepared a presentation.
Cooperation with GSC Game World did not take place after a month of discussion. We decided to launch a campaign on KickStarter with the collected materials.
Then we preparing to release a product on Kickstarter: • We rendered several concepts. • Made 2D animated sprite characters. • Made realistic animation during battles. • Prepared the background and plot of the game. • Prepared an advertising campaign for Kickstarter. • We connected a manager of marketing for research. • We connected game designer S.T.A.L.K.E.R. for counseling. • Made a demo version of the game on Unity for Android and iOS.
The game was developed for mobile iOS and Android devices.
The player controls the environment but not the character.
