Develop software for controlling the equipment of a game studio: • lighting; • screens; • sound.
About the studio
The rules of the game and the design of the studio are inspired by the Ukrainian TV show "Who will win?" There are 2 teams, with 4 members each. Guys play against girls. In order to win the teams perform various tasks: • answer quiz questions; • put together a word out of the letters given; • change places: girls do the tasks that guys normally do and vice versa.
The game in action
It took a total of 60 days to develop.
Over this time we: • Created a game application with 8 types of rounds. • Created a game server to run multiple games at the same time. • Created an administration panel to manage games, view multimedia files, control sound, and lighting, pause, resume and restart the game. • Implemented the following game challenges: a quiz similar to “Who wants to be a millionaire?”, “Change places”, “Put together a word”, etc. After each round, the winning team is asked a bonus question. They give a numerical answer, the permissible error is 10% both ways. • Lighting and sound controlled by Arduino and Wi-Fi are activated by the victory in the round: if the girls win, the light in the studio turns pink, if the guys win, it turns blue. 20 lamps are manually configured through the administration panel.
An offsite game
Sound and lighting are configurable via Arduino and Wi-Fi.
The software works in the studio and at offsite corporate parties.
An offsite game
• The order of the rounds in the game can be changed. • The required equipment includes a personal computer or laptop, TV. • We developed 3 applications: admin panel, server, and game application. • The game application includes 8 types of rounds: quiz, timed challenges, rounds with offline activities. • The game is designed for 2 teams: guys against girls, children against adults, economists against IT specialists, etc.
