Develop software for controlling game studio equipment: • lighting; • screens; • sound.
The rules this game and design of the studio are inspired by the Ukrainian TV show "Hto zverhu?" (who is on top?). 2 teams play 4 on 4 - guys against girls.
Teams perform tasks in the fight for the championship: • answer questions in the quiz; • collect words from letters; • change roles: girls perform male tasks, guys - female ones.
"From idea to release" took 60 days to develop.
Over this time: • Created an administration panel for managing games, viewing multimedia files, controlling sound and lighting, pausing, resuming and restarting a game. • Created a game server to run multiple games at the same time. • Created a game application with support for 8 types of rounds. • Implemented game tasks: quiz like "How to become a millionaire?", "Role exchange", "Collect letters" and so on. • After each round the winning team answers a bonus question. The answer is given in numerical form with an allowable error of 10% on both sides. • Lighting and sound controlled by Arduino and Wi-Fi react to the victory in the round: after the victory of the girls the light in the studio turns pink; when the guys win it turns blue. Also 20 lamps are manually configured through the administration panel.
Sound and lighting are configurable via Arduino and Wi-Fi.
The software works in the studio and at offsite corporate parties.
• Developed 3 applications: admin panel, server and game application. • The game application includes 8 types of rounds: "question-answer" quizzes, rounds with a timer, rounds with offline activities. • The game is designed for 2 teams: guys against girls, children against adults, economists against engineers, etc. • The ability to change the order of the rounds in the game. • To work requires a personal computer or laptop, TV.
